We’ve got others under our skin

ENcode is both a performance and an installation based thereon. Two formats that discover each other. This work aims to approach the performance space as if it were an exhibition room, casting a comparison to the world according to a novel and urgent notion of ecology. The most immediate effect is an approach in which we are all on stage and in a network, as in the world and in life.

The idea is to deepen an immersive and absolutely entrancing path for the audience, through a dialectic with the new technologies and architecture – in its structural elements and dynamic movable items of theatres / venues it takes place in, strengthened by the sound and choreographic composition.

After each performance, the final métier shall be left to its own echoing devices, lasting as an exhibition.

ENcode brings together artists and art institutions [music – performing arts – visual arts] and scientific institutions that foster a cross-disciplinary approach to research.

The audience and the artists on stage share the space, co-elaborating. ENcode seamlessly changes its shape from a performance to a multisensorial installation, without any break.
